Mastering Date Night On a Small Budget

If you are suffering along with the economy and are on a tight budget, funding a date night can seem difficult.  The good news, however, is that there are plenty of options available to you if you’re on a tight budget.  All you need are a few great ideas.  Here are some ways to have a memorable date night on a small budget without seeming cheap.

Change Up The Time

One great idea is to simply move the time of your date from the evening to the morning.  Instead of a full priced evening movie, take in a matinée.  Not only will you find that prices are lower, but you will also discover that crowds are smaller, making it easier to enjoy a movie together.

Dine Alfresco
Date night can also be done on a budget by skipping the traditional restaurant date and serving a homemade meal in a romantic or unusual setting.  Bring a few candles, a blanket, and some dishes and set up a romantic picnic in your favorite park, or grab some fold-up chairs and head up to the rooftop of your building (if you have a walled flat roof) for a sunset meal your beloved will never forget!

Keep it Low Key
If you really want a great date night, consider doing something romantic that requires no money at all.  A long evening stroll along the beach in bare feet, or a night of stargazing while laying on a warm blanket outdoors can be incredibly romantic.  Spend any budget that you do have on a small trinket or treat for your loved one, such as a home-made bracelet or ice-creams for you both after your walk.  Dates like this don’t feel cheap or low budget, and your date will certainly appreciate the romance that goes into an evening like this.

There are plenty of options for a great date night on a budget.  Forget the notion of needing to spend a bundle of money on each and every date.  With a little creativity you can plan the perfect date night for your loved one with little to no money at all.
