3 Easy Thanksgiving Apple Stuffing Recipe Options

Apple stuffing is a great dish to serve with your Thanksgiving meal.  However, if you are tired of making the same old stuffing, there are a number of easy recipe options to help you add a bit of something different to your dish.  Below, you will find three very simple ways to turn your Thanksgiving stuffing recipe from ho-hum to gourmet with nothing but a few simple ingredients.

One of the best options is to use your standard box recipe for apple stuffing, and then include sausage in the mix.  Before you begin preparing your Thanksgiving stuffing, fry up some sausage meat and then set it aside to cool.  Make sure that you drain it on paper towels to remove excess grease.  Once it’s cooled, simply crumble it into your Thanksgiving stuffing mixture for a great meaty taste.

Another option for your Thanksgiving stuffing is to combine your apple stuffing with chorizo, or spicy Mexican sausage.  This is a great way to break with tradition and still have something that tastes delicious.  Add the chorizo to the stuffing the same way you would with regular sausage – fry it, crumble it and go!

Of course, one great pairing for Thanksgiving apple stuffing is to add the flavor of pecans to your apples.  Pecans can be roasted and then mixed into your dish, or they can be roasted and then placed on top of your stuffing.  This gives you a nice crunch during your Thanksgiving meal, as well as a great taste.
