BBQ Turkey Legs in Your Thanksgiving Meal Are Great

Are you looking for an alternative to roasting or frying an entire turkey this Thanksgiving?  If so, then BBQ turkey legs can be an excellent way to enjoy this traditional Thanksgiving meal, without having to buy the whole bird.

Making BBQ turkey legs for Thanksgiving is easy with the right recipe.  All you need are four turkey legs, a couple of cloves of garlic, a cup of chili sauce and a quarter cup of vegetable oil.  You also need one-third cup of cider vinegar, a quarter cup of chopped onions, one and a half tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce, half a teaspoon of salt, a quarter teaspoon of pepper and the same amount of thyme.

To start preparing your Thanksgiving meal, put all of your ingredients but the turkey legs into a saucepan and combine them over low heat.  Let the mixture simmer for about twenty minutes.  Now, place your turkey legs in a roasting pan and pour the sauce over the top of them.  Cover and let them marinate for at least two hours in the refrigerator.

If you will be preparing your Thanksgiving meal on the grill, cook your turkey legs for about seven minutes per side to brown them.  Now, turn and baste your turkey legs frequently, cooking them for about an hour.  If you will be preparing your turkey legs in the oven, cover them in foil and bake at three hundred and twenty-five degrees for about an hour and a half.  Baste them frequently and your Thanksgiving turkey will taste great.
