How Meals With Calcium and Vitamin D Will Keep Your Body Healthy

Staying healthy is important at all ages, and nutrients like calcium and vitamin D are crucial to your overall wellbeing. 

 

Critical in the function and maintenance of healthy bones and muscles, calcium can only be absorbed into the body if vitamin D is present.  Being sure to include both calcium and vitamin D in meals will help your body stay healthy and function better. 

Calcium can be found in foods like milk products, most grains, and many fruits or vegetables; while vitamin D is found in few foods in very small amounts. Getting the proper amounts of calcium and vitamin D in meals can be relatively easy as long as you understand how they must work together.
