How to Make Fancy Easter Eggs

Coloring Easter eggs is one of the most traditional things about this holiday for many people.  However, if you are tired of the same old Easter eggs year in and year out, then you might be interested in making a change.  This year, you can make fancy Easter eggs and express your creativity in a new way.

Prepare the Eggs

There are several ways that you can make fancy Easter eggs this year, and it doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to spend a ton of money, either.  First, make sure that you hard boil your Easter eggs – this makes them much easier to work with than handling them with too much care.  Once you have your eggs boiled and cooled, bring out your tools to decorate them with.

Decorations

Ribbons work very well to make fancy Easter eggs.  You can color your eggs the traditional way and then wrap the egg in a fanciful, decorative ribbon and tie it in a bow.  The ribbon can be the same color as the egg, or it can be a contrasting color.

 You can also decorate your Easter eggs with stencils and paints, rather than dipping them in dye.  Stencils can be used to make ornate patters on your eggs, and you can create some very fancy Easter eggs this way.  Visit different candy stores to find treats to paste on, like life savers or colored kisses.

Bedazzle It!

Another option here is to add sparkling gems or crystals to your eggs.  You can find bags of multicolored crystals at most craft stores for affordable prices.  Use these with stencils or dye to make scintillating patterns that sparkle and attract the eye, and to beautify any gift basket.
