How to Make Linguine With Clam Sauce a Great Winter Dish

Making linguine with clam sauce is actually pretty simple, and is a great way to add some fantastic taste to your table.

To get started, you’ll need twelve ounces of linguine, as well as some extra virgin olive oil (two tablespoons), two tablespoons of salt, two or three garlic cloves and two tablespoons of unsalted butter.  You will also need two cans of minces clams, with the juice of the clams reserved.  Add to that about half a cup of heavy whipping cream, some salt and pepper, and a bit of grated Parmesan cheese.

To make linguine with clam sauce, you will first need to cook your pasta until it is al dente.  In a skillet, heat the olive oil and butter together.  Add the garlic and sauté.  Now, add the juice from your clams and simmer until it has reduced by half of its volume.  Stir in the clams and the cream.  Season your sauce as you like.

To serve your linguine with clam sauce, put the pasta into bowls and top with your clam sauce mixture and clams.  Sprinkle a bit of Parmesan cheese over the top and serve it to your family!  You’ve now made linguine with clam sauce – it’s a simple, elegant meal option packed with great flavor.

You can use fresh clams to make your clam sauce if you like, rather than canned.  Of course, you can also modify your clam sauce in other ways – try adding your favorite veggies or different cheeses to the dish.
