How To Make Lobster Bisque At Home

Making lobster bisque offers you a great way to add some rib-sticking meal options to your family’s table this winter.  Bisques are great alternatives to regular soups and chowders, and you can use almost anything to make them, though lobster is certainly the most popular option.

To make this simple lobster bisque recipe, you will need to get your ingredients together first.  First. you’ll need about two cups of cooked lobster meat.  You will also need to have about a third of a cup of sherry (white wine will work also), as well as three cups of milk, three tablespoons of butter, three tablespoons of flour, a teaspoon of steak sauce and some salt and pepper.

Now, to make your lobster bisque, you need to combine the lobster and sherry in a bowl.  Set this aside.  Melt your butter in a saucepan, and then add the flour and cook for a minute.  You want to see a paste when you’re done.  Add your milk slowly to the lobster bisque base, and stir until you have a thick base.  Now, add your other seasonings, as well as the steak sauce.

Lastly, add the lobster and sherry to the lobster bisque and cover the saucepan.  You will need to cook your lobster dish for another five to ten minutes, and serve it hot to your family.

Making lobster bisque is simple, as you can see.  There’s no reason not to enjoy the flavor of lobster bisque at your family dining table this winter.
