How to Make Turkey a la King With Thanksgiving Leftovers

Are you tired of looking for ways to finish up those leftovers from Thanksgiving?  If so, then a little turkey a la king can be just the way to give you the variety that you need, and help you eliminate Thanksgiving turkey at the same time.

To make turkey a la king using your leftover Thanksgiving turkey, you will need to have one-third cup of butter, one-third cup of flour, two cups of milk, two four-ounce cans of mushrooms, a large green pepper chopped up, four cups of turkey (cubed), a four-ounce jar of pimentos and some chicken bouillon.

The first step in making this Thanksgiving turkey meal is to heat the chopped green peppers in butter, over high heat.  This will take about five minutes.  Next, stir in your flour and a teaspoon of salt and blend it.

Slowly, combine your milk in the pan, and stir constantly.  Continue stirring until the mixture thickens.  Now, add your turkey and your mushrooms.  Also, add the pimentos and the bouillon now.

Heat this mixture to boiling, then reduce the heat and cover the dish.  Allow your Thanksgiving turkey dish to simmer for about five minutes, and then remove it from the heat.  Serve this over rice or biscuits for a great hot meal that offers excellent flavors and lots of heartiness.

If you want to enjoy a good meal made with those Thanksgiving leftovers, this is it!
