How to Make Turkey and Broccoli Casserole With Thanksgiving Leftovers

Are you worried that all those Thanksgiving leftovers are going to go to waste?  If so, there are numerous dishes that you can make with them to help use them up.  One of the most flavorful and popular dishes using Thanksgiving leftovers is turkey and broccoli casserole.  This recipe can be easy to make, as well as great tasting.

To make this dish, you need to visit the supermarket and buy two ten-ounce packages of broccoli, as well as two cups of coarsely diced turkey, a can of cream of mushroom soup, a half cup of skim milk and half a cup of grated cheddar cheese.  You can substitute light or sodium free options for many of these ingredients.

Preheat your oven to about three hundred and seventy-five degrees.  Cook your broccoli according to the directions on the package, and get your Thanksgiving turkey ready.

In a twelve by eight cooking dish, arrange your broccoli on bottom and layer the turkey on top.  Combine your soup and milk together and then add to the casserole dish.  Top the entire thing with cheddar cheese and then bake in the oven for about thirty minutes.

Take your Thanksgiving leftover dish out of the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes.  Serve it warm, with your choice of other dishes.  You will find that this casserole becomes a family favorite, and you might decide that it should become part of your regular menu, and not just reserved for disposing of those Thanksgiving leftovers.
