Learn to Make Easy and Tasty St. Patrick’s Day Cocktails for Your Party

On St. Patrick’s Day, quite a few people choose to imbibe a cocktail or two at their nearest Irish bar to celebrate the holiday. Rather than drinking the same old cocktail or green beer that you usually have on St. Patty’s Day, you might want to broaden your horizons and try something that is a bit different. The following are a few options that can broaden your cocktail horizon!

The Emerald Isle cocktail is easy to make. You mix 2 ounces of your choice of gin, 1 ½ teaspoons of green crème de menthe, and 3 dashes of bitters. Stir the drink and then strain it into your glass.

Another simple cocktail is the Saint Pat. For this drink, take 2 ounces of Irish whiskey, 1 ounce of green crème de menthe, and one ounce of green chartreuse. Stir and strain into your cocktail glass.

The Shamrock is another simple St. Patrick’s Day cocktail. Use 1 ½ ounces of Irish whiskey, ½ ounce of dry vermouth, ½ ounce green crème de menthe, and 1 teaspoon of green chartreuse.

If you are throwing a party, you might want to consider making a cocktail punch. In a punch bowl, mix one bottle of vodka, 12 ounces of frozen limeade concentrate, ½ a gallon of lemon sherbet and ½ gallon of lime sherbet. It is fast, easy, tastes good and can pack quite a punch!

These are just a few of the green cocktail types you can try. As always, you need to make sure that you keep your cocktail intake under control, and never drink and drive. These are some fun and tasty drinks, but enjoy them responsibly and you’ll keep the luck of the Irish on your side.
