You Can Learn How to Make Glazed Carrots as a Terrific Thanksgiving Side Dish

Are you looking for something to add a bit of color to your Thanksgiving Day menu?  If so, then glazed carrots might be just the option.  This simple, easy recipe can give you a great side dish in just a very short time.  Here’s how to get started:

To make this Thanksgiving recipe, you will need three cups of diced carrot, three tablespoons of butter and three tablespoons of brown sugar, as well as some salt.  If you prefer not to buy diced carrots for the store, you can dice your own in just a few minutes.  Fresh preparation is always better for Thanksgiving dishes, but canned or frozen carrots are fine, as well.

Once your carrots are diced up, you need to melt the butter in a large pan on the stove. Make sure that the butter is thoroughly melted before you do anything else.  Next, you need to add your carrots.  Make sure that you mix them well, coating each piece with butter.  You should also salt your carrots to taste.

Stir your carrots often, making sure that you keep them from burning.  Once they get a bit darker than their usual color, add your sugar to the pan and stir until it is all dissolved.  Add just enough water to cover your carrots, and cut the heat down to just a simmer.  Your Thanksgiving carrots will begin cooking down – they’re done when there’s almost no syrup left in the pan.

Pour the carrots and the remaining syrup into a Thanksgiving serving dish and you’re done!
