Love Jigsaw Puzzles? Try These Mind Bending Options

If you love a great jigsaw puzzle, you’ll always be on the lookout for a new and more difficult puzzle that will give you the challenge you crave.  After a while, the simple puzzles just aren’t fun after a while, and you’ll want to move onto larger and more complex pieces.

Go Big…. and Then Go BIGGER!

One of the best ways to ramp up the difficulty of your puzzle is to buy one that is very large.  The puzzles that are 1,000 pieces are easy to find at any toy store, but this is just the tip of the iceberg.  If you look around at a hobby store, you can find puzzles that are 8,000 pieces.  Currently, the largest puzzle on record has 24,000 pieces and costs $300 dollars.  The picture includes a panoramic view of the ocean, fish, wild animals, sailboats, hot air balloons and even a part of the universe.

Try a 3D Puzzle

Although putting together a large puzzle is a great option, many other choices are available.  A 3D puzzle offers a new dimension of challenges that can keep you busy for weeks.  You can find a number of these types of puzzles in a variety of forms, including famous buildings, such as the Empire State Building and the Eiffel Tower.

Two-Sided Terrors

Another way to increase the difficulty level is to find a puzzle that is two-sided.  This type of puzzle will have two different images, one on each side.  Trying to figure out which side is which when you are putting the puzzle together can add a layer of difficulty unlike previous challenges.

As puzzle solvers want more challenges, the manufacturers are developing better and more innovative ways to make them.  One thing is certain, you will never be at a loss when trying to find challenging jigsaw puzzles.
