Top Celebrity Divorces This Year

Celebrity divorces can be as nasty and devastating as their weddings are luxurious and stunning.  Quite a few celebrities got divorced this past year, including some that many people thought had a marriage that would last.  There were plenty of divorces to occur in 2010, many involving infidelity.

Tiger Woods divorced his celebrity model wife, Elin Nordegren, in 2010 during one of the biggest infidelity scandals to hit the country.  Apparently, the golf star had an affair with each of nineteen different women during his short marriage.

Celebrity Sandra Bullock and Jessie James underwent a nasty divorce this year, as well.  While there were no children involved in the divorce, it was still an ugly lawyer-filled affair that put an end to their five years of marriage.

Another celebrity divorce to rock the nation was that of Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman.  The couple tried to go through a separation and reconciliation process, but Christina ended it when it appeared that things could not be remedied.

Shania Twain and her husband Robert John “Mutt” Lange divorced this year, as well.  The celebrity couple divorced after rumors surfaced that Lange was having an affair with Twain’s assistant.  No confirmation of the rumors ever came out, but the celebrity couple certainly split.

These are only a few of the top divorces that have occurred during 2010.  Unfortunately, there are some on the horizon, including a possible split between David Arquette and Courtney Cox, who are currently separated.
