Find Out How to Make Easy Chair Covers as Decorations This Thanksgiving

How often have you lamented a spill or stain on your chairs after a Thanksgiving meal?  You can stop that with these easy seasonal chair covers.  In addition, these covers can be themed to work with your table decorations, as well.  You don’t have to worry about spills or stains anymore and your Thanksgiving guests will sit comfortable on these great covers.

The first step in making Thanksgiving chair covers is to measure your chairs.  Measure from the floor to the top of the back, then down the back, across the seat and down to the floor.  To measure the width, start on the floor, measure up the side, across the seat and down the other side the floor.  You now know how long and wide your fabric needs to be.  The next step in making Thanksgiving chair covers is head to the store with your measurements and pick out some fabric that will go well with your decorations.

Choose nice Thanksgiving fabric and return to your chairs.  Drape the fabric over the chair and push it down on the seat so that it conforms to the shape of your chairs.  The simplest option here is to make sure that all four sides are even and then tie the cover with a decorative cord at the seat.  You can also use fabric glue or even sew them to fit if you prefer.  However, the more time you put into making seat covers for Thanksgiving, the longer they’ll last you. You could be enjoying them for years!
