How to Decorate a Cornucopia This Thanksgiving

Do you want to add a cornucopia to your Thanksgiving table as a centerpiece, but are unsure how to decorate it?  Actually, you can decorate this type of Thanksgiving centerpiece in numerous ways, using quite a range of different items and materials.  Here are some ideas to get you going.

The entire premise of a Thanksgiving cornucopia centerpiece is that it should be “overflowing with plenty.”  That is, it should give the appearance of being so full that it overflows onto the table.  However, that does not mean that you have to fill it full – you just need to make it look like it is.

To do this, you will first need to fill your cornucopia with larger grocery items – you can use gourds, or you can use fruit (real or fake).  Pears and apples work well here, but grapes can also be used.

Next, you need to fill in the gaps in your contents.  Leaves work very well for this, but you can also use flowers.  To prevent allergies and fading foliage, use silk flowers and leaves from the craft store.  You should also make sure that your Thanksgiving centerpiece contents have seasonal colors – red, yellow, orange and brown are all good options to include here.

Once you have added your filler material, your Thanksgiving cornucopia centerpiece is finished!  You can now arrange it as you wish and enjoy it throughout the holidays.  You will also find that using fake fruits and vegetables will ensure that you can use your Thanksgiving centerpiece again and again.
