Learn to Make a Cheap and Easy Thanksgiving Centerpiece

Getting your Thanksgiving decorating done can be a real chore when you have to combine it with other preparations and getting ready to prepare the main meal.  However, if you are worried about finding your Thanksgiving centerpiece, there are some cheap and easy ideas that will save you time and money.

One of the simplest Thanksgiving centerpiece ideas is to make a table wreath out of fall foliage and fresh fruit.  You will find that many of the colors in fruit and leaves complement each other well, and that you do not even have to go to the supermarket in most instances.  Using what you have available to you is a great way to save time and money.

Take a look in your back yard and see what trees still have some colorful leaves on them.  You will probably find a lot of leaves that still have plenty of color – maple leaves, oak leaves, hickory leaves – almost any hardwood tree can be used here.  To make a Thanksgiving wreath, you need little more than something on which to place your leaves, some glue and your fruit.

Arrange the leaves in a circle on whatever surface you’re going to use for your Thanksgiving centerpiece.  Now, using as little glue as possible, attach the leaves to each other at strategic points.  Usually, leaf points and stems make the best options here.  Arrange your fruit amongst the leaves so that the colors are shown well, and you’re done.

You have just made a beautiful Thanksgiving centerpiece with nothing more than what you have at home.
