Space Saver Tips: How to Create Space in Your Garage

To save space in your garage, you have to be a little creative with your storage options.  Here are some tips to create the additional space for your belongings.  

Overhead Storage
If you would like to park your vehicles in the garage, you use the ceiling space that is available to store your extra belongings.  With overhead storage, you can get all those ugly plastic bins or cardboard boxes out of sight. These racks will allow you to get larger items off the floor.  In addition, you can purchase racking systems that extend as high as the ceiling of the garage.  This can provide you with the additional room in the garage, as well as safeguarding your belongings from damage if you live in an area where it rains or floods a lot.

Invest in a Shed
You should consider purchasing a shed as a way to save space in the garage.  This can provide you with the extra space that will house your lawn and garden equipment, as well as freeing up additional storage in your garage.  It also reduces the amount of dirt and stains that your garage floor will suffer from if you’re an enthusiastic gardener, and are constantly walking back and forth with muddy shoes.
