How to Get Your Child Interested in Wearing Hats

Children love to be different, unique and creative. Rather than dressing your children like every other child on the block, why not consider giving them something unique that will set them apart?

One of the best ways to do that is to get your children interested and excited about wearing hats. This can be particularly important during the winter when the temperatures are likely to be low, or in summer when the tops of their heads and noses can get easily burned by the sun.  Hats help to keep your children protected from the elements, whilst giving them a fun new look for every day of the week.

There are many different styles and designs to choose from. Some of the cutest unique hats for children are those little hats that resemble animal faces. I’m sure your little one has a favorite animal, so it will be easy to persuade him or her to wear the hat. Some fun hats have an animal face on the front and an animal tail hanging down at the back – these hats are very entertaining for your littlest ones especially and are sure to bring smiles and laughs.

Monogrammed hats are also very popular today with many children. One of the best things about these hats is that they make it very easy to ensure your children’s hats do not become mixed up with the hats of other children at school. If you have a creative relative you could ask them to stitch the child’s initial on the front in a decorative thread.

If your child is especially creative, let them design their own hat. There are many hat-printing services available in the high street that will print a photo or design made by your child on the front of a hat or baseball cap. Have your child draw a picture, then photograph or scan it and get it transferred to a cap to make them feel special.

Finally, you might consider vintage hats if you want hats for your kids that are different and unique looking. All kids love dressing up, so take your little ones to a thrift store or a vintage clothing market and let them pick something out. If you love things from yesteryear, these hats will give your child an air of sophistication that may even influence their personal fashion style as they grow up.
