Review: Can Shape Ups Shoes Help You Get Fitter?

When it comes to health and fitness, we are all looking to give ourselves whatever edge we can.  Most people want to be fitter, but our demanding lives don’t always afford us the ability to exercise as much as we’d like.

When Sketchers came out with their Shape Ups line of shoes, many were skeptical.  So what is the bottom line?  Will these shoes really help you get fitter than wearing regular running shoes?

There are many people who have purchased Sketchers Shape Ups at the shoe store and yet report little to no benefit, yet there is one common thread for these people.  They simply aren’t very active in the first place.  If you only walk from your car to the office and back again, you won’t do much of anything to tone and firm your legs and backside.  Shape Ups may be billed as the easy way to get fit while you walk, but the simple fact is that you have to do the actual walking to get any benefit out of them.

With this said, people who start going for walks while wearing Shape Ups or who wear them during regular aerobic exercise will almost certainly see added benefit on top of the actual exercise.  The shoes really do change the way that you move, helping to better your posture while also improving your fitness level.

The biggest market for Shape ups (based on reviews) is for people with back and joint pain.  The shoes correct poor posture, while many people reported that the cushioned insoles and springy sole made walking feel like "walking on a cloud."  Many people highly recommended them.

Like with any exercise product, you have to use Shape Ups for an extended period of time them to work, and this means actually walking longer distances, not just wearing the shoes throughout you day to day life.

Shape Ups can be a fantastic addition to your work out, while the appealing style makes them great even for marathon shopping sessions!
