What Your Jeans Say About You and Your Individual Style

Many people think that jeans are all the same, and that as long as you are able to find a pair at the jeans store that you like, it doesn’t matter the type of jeans you have.  While comfort is important, the style of jeans that you are wearing can actually say quite a lot about you.

The traditional boot cut jeans with an indigo wash are a classic, and they will work well for many people who are a little rebellious, whilst still wanting to maintain a clean-cut image.  Bootcut jeans look best on taller people, and will suit you if you like wearing shoes or boots with a bit of a heel.  A simple pair of bootcut jeans can stay in style for many years, and they look great coupled with a skinny-rib T-shirt or white wifebeater (tank top).

Bellbottom jeans can look great as long as they match the rest of your style.  Otherwise, they can look very outdated.  Bellbottoms look best on younger teens, as they obviously haven’t had them in their wardrobe since the 70s!

Boyfriend jeans are also very popular amongst teens and inner-city hipsters, and they offer more comfort than the skinny jeans, which are popular but unflattering to many people, except those that are very slender.  Boyfriend jeans are great to wear out for a lazy Sunday or for a summer afternoon and easily paired with a loose t-shirt.

When it comes to skinny jeans, as already noted, they won’t do you many favors if you are curvaceous or have wider hips, as they will place all the emphasis on your behind and make you look pear-shaped. Balance skinny jeans with a great pair of boots for harmony and style.

When it comes to price, you really do get what you pay for.  The most common jeans that you are going to find at the mall or the department store are very affordable for most people, but the cut will very likely be loose and untailored.  If you want to find something that fits you perfectly whilst flattering your unique body shape, you can expect to pay more than $100 for your jeans.

If you are into fashion and want to look your very best, consider the big designer clothing brands.  Currently in fashion are jeans by Deisil, Guess, Miss Sixty, Lucky Brand and Roxy.

If you like your jeans very personalized and you love the rock or goth look, consider brands such as Serious or Rockwood Saloon.  These brands custom-make each pair of jeans by hand with a variety of designs, logos and artwork stitched onto the jeans.  Prices for these range from $100 for smaller items such as shorts or denim mini-skirts, right up to many hundreds for the best custom-made jeans.  They also make leather and denim jackets to match.

No matter how much you spend, just make sure that the jeans accentuate your overall style.  Make them work for you rather than tailoring the rest of your wardrobe to fit them.
