3 Great Homemade Recipes to Make Your Hair Shine

Every woman knows that having a good hair day can make all the difference in how you feel for the entire day. When your hair is shiny and manageable, it makes you feel confident and sexy. When a good hair day is achieved effortlessly for low or no cost, it makes it even more rewarding than if you’ve just spent a hundred dollars at the hairdresser.

Here is a list of homemade recipes that will be a life saver if you have dull, over processed or unmanageable hair.

Home Hair Treatment #1: This recipe will provide you with great shine:

You will need:

–   2 tablespoons of olive oil

–   1 egg

–   2 tablespoons of honey

–   1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar

Mix the honey and the egg into a large bowl and mix well. Then add the vinegar. Slowly pour the olive oil into the mixture until you form a smooth paste. After shampooing and conditioning like you normally do, make sure that your hair is slightly damp and not soaking wet. Apply the mask evenly and massage well into your scalp, covering your entire hair from top to bottom. Leave it on for 20 minutes and then rinse with lukewarm water.

DIY homemade hair masks, you are sure to find all these ingredients tucked away in your pantry.

Home hair Treatment #2: This recipe will give you shine, bounce and breakage protection.

You will need:

–    1 avocado, mashed

–    1 teaspoon of sea salt

–    1 tablespoon of lemon juice (2 if you have long hair)

–    1 aloe leaf, mashed (you can use aloe gel as well, but the leaf is preferable)

–    1 flat beer (any brand will do)

Blend all ingredients except the beer and massage well into scalp (make sure you use your fingertips when massaging). Leave on for 30 minutes. Rinse, shampoo as usual and then rinse one more time. Before leaving the shower pour the beer on your hair and rinse with lukewarm water, not hot! Lastly style your hair how you would normally do.

Home Hair Treatment #3: This last recipe has only one ingredient! And although it can be pricey it is well worth the splurge.

You will need:

–    1 bottle of organic Moroccan Argan oil (I recommend Argan Oils, which you can get at www.arganoils.com. it is 100% pure organic argan oil)

Wash your hair as usual and towel dry, leaving it damp. Pour a small amount of argan oil into your palm (depending on how long or thick your hair is you can use between a dime-nickel sized portion). Rub the oil between your hands and work the oil from the tips of your hair all the way up to your roots, adding more oil if necessary (make sure not to use too much oil. It might take 2-3 times to figure out the amount of oil that works best for your hair). Lastly blow dry your hair or style normally. The argan oil will protect your hair against heat and styling damage while adding shine and moisture.

These recipes will give you fantastic shine and allow you to have a great hair day, every day!
