Best Exercises to Get Rid of Love Handles

You are most likely not in love with your love handles.  Even though they’re a real drag, you can still make them disappear without running off to get lipo. 

One of the best options to removing the flab fast is to strengthen your lower back.  While working your abs is the most important thing, working your lower back at the gym by doing sit-ups or crunches will help you burn extra fat and tone all of your trunk muscles.

 

Although it’s important to focus on strengthening your muscles, cardiovascular exercises trump everything.  Aerobics are one of the most effective forms of cardio, and a great option when getting rid of love handles.  Increased aerobic activity helps kick your metabolism into high gear, ensuring that your body stops storing fat, and that it starts burning the fat reserves that you have.

 

Working your abdominal muscles with crunches and other exercise forms is also important.  This will help strengthen your abs and reduce the appearance of those love handles.  However, keep in mind that spot exercise does not actually remove fat from that place – you lose fat all over, not just in one place.  Because of this, you need to make sure that you have enough cardio exercise worked into your routine to keep your metabolism high.

 

In addition to exercise, you need to cut down on your calories (we know you’re rolling your eyes).  Too many calories will result in fat build up no matter how much exercise you do.  Strike a balance between caloric intake and burning calories to ensure you can get a slimmer figure.
