Natural Ways to Exfoliate Your Face and Skin

You need to exfoliate your skin regularly to remove dead skin cells, to clean out pores and to enjoy a beautiful, healthy appearance.  Salons and spas can charge an enormous amount of money to exfoliate your face and skin.  However, there are some very simple ways that you can do this on your own at home at no cost.

Use the Milk Cure

One of the simplest ways to exfoliate your face is by soaking a washcloth in whole milk and then draping it over your face.  The milk contains lactic acid, which will help to remove dead skin cells and clean your face.  Leave the washcloth in place for about five minutes, then rinse it out and use it to gently scrub clean your face.

Try Olive Oil

Another simple way to exfoliate your skin at home is to use olive oil and white sugar.  You will need a half-cup of white sugar and three tablespoons of olive oil.  Combine these and make a body scrub from it.  Dip a washcloth in it and smooth it over your face, rubbing in gentle circles.  Rinse and pat dry with a towel.  Be gentle with it, and do not scrub hard.

Dive into Oatmeal

Oatmeal is another great way to exfoliate your skin at home, without having to worry about the high cost charged by spas.  Simply add a cup of oatmeal to a blender and sprinkle some lavender in.  Process this mixture until it has a fine consistency and make a body scrub from it.  Sunflower seeds and almonds can also be used in this way.
