Are Chain Restaurants Open on Thanksgiving Day?

Do you prefer dining out on Thanksgiving?  If so, then you probably have some questions about which chain restaurants are open on this holiday. Interestingly, there are many different restaurants open on Thanksgiving, which allows you to choose from a wide array of food types and dining venues.  Here is a sample of what you’ll find.

If you want some great home cooking, then you will find that Cracker Barrel is open on Thanksgiving Day, giving you the opportunity to enjoy a rocking chair and excellent food. 

Luby’s is also open on Thanksgiving, where you will find cafeteria-style dining and good food.  If you prefer something a bit different, then Denny’s is also open during the holiday – you can get everything from turkey and gravy to a delicious burger.

If you live within range of one, Shoney’s is open during the holiday, and offers a full range of Thanksgiving meal options.  Golden Corral is also open during the holiday, and you will find that their buffet is filled with holiday favorites. 

Another buffet chain restaurant open on this day is Ryan’s, where you will find holiday dishes, as well as regular fare on offer.  K&W Cafeteria will be open, as will many other national chains.

Of course, if you prefer to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner at a local restaurant rather than a national chain, you will find some open in your area.  Many Mexican restaurants remain open on this holiday, as do numerous Chinese restaurants.  However, do not expect traditional holiday food here – you’ll have your regular menu options in most cases.
