Which Movies Provided Kid Friendly Entertainment in 2010

Each year, the entertainment industry releases hundreds of movies all around the world. These movies might be independent or made by a studio, and they will all fall under the heading of some sort of “genre.” For example, there are horror movies, romances and more. One of the most popular genres is that of kids or children’s movies, and this is because so many of the modern films are made for children and adults alike.

Just consider some of the top kids movies for 2010 – there was Tim Burton’s impressive take on “Alice in Wonderland,” and there was the movie version of the classic comic book “The Green Hornet.” Perhaps the two most anticipated releases were part of ongoing series of movies, and included “Shrek Forever After,” and “Toy Story 3.”

Why were these last two movies so eagerly awaited? The different versions of these movies prior to the most recent releases were all wildly successful and always well-received by viewers and critics alike. The Shrek franchise, for instance, is known for its unique stories and characters, its wide-ranging humor and pop culture references, and its excellent soundtracks. The Toy Story films are distinctly family-oriented because they educate through humor and excellent narrative. Consider that each of the movies has a very distinct point, and these points usually have to do with the importance of friendship, love, and loyalty.

Finding entertainment for kids can often be tricky, and most families just don’t have the funds to take endless trips to the local movie theater. This makes it important to know which films are best for kids and families alike, and 2010 certainly had an abundance to offer.
