Best Ways to Conceal Those Dark, Under Eye Circles

Millions of people suffer from dark under-eye circles, but really don’t need to.  It can be frustrating trying to find the right way to deal with them, ultimately finding that few methods work.  However, there are some great ways to conceal those under eye circles.

One of the first things that you need to do is to hit the local drugstore and choose the right concealer.  Ideally, it should be warmer than your skin tone, and should disappear completely when applied.  Try different products before you buy it to make sure you get the right one.  You can even consult a makeup artist at the MAC counter at your mall if you need help on the shade.

Although MAC products are heavy, a thick concealer is needed for circles.  When you apply the concealer to your eye area, use a small, pointed brush.  Also, remember to only apply it to the dark areas – you do not want to use too much around your eye, or you will not be able to hide those circles.

You should also make sure that you use a translucent powder over the concealer.  This will help to hide the dark circles under your eye.  It will also illuminate your skin and help to set the concealer.

You now need to draw attention to your upper eyelashes.  Use a dark eyeliner here to accentuate your eye shape and your lashes.  Apply the eyeliner as close to the upper lash line as possible.  Next, apply two coats of black mascara.

Another tip to hide under eye circles is to accentuate your eyebrows.  Use a soft pencil to deepen the arch of your brows, and then use a brush comb to finish them nicely.  Distraction always works, and in this case enhancing a great feature you have will help camouflage the flaw.
