The Highest Paid Actresses in Hollywood

Everyone knows that movie stars make obscene amounts of money, but not everyone who reads the gossip magazines is familiar with just how much a top actress can actually pull in each year.  Here are the top earners this year.

#1 Sandra Bullock

This might not come as a surprise to many, but Sandra Bullock comes in on top.  She came out with a couple of movies in 2010, including The Blind Side.  Bullock’s earnings for that year are an amazing $56 million.  As of 2011, she is currently the highest paid actress in Hollywood, but there are still a few others who are nipping at her heels.

#2 Reese Witherspoon

The second highest paid actress of 2010 was Reese Witherspoon.  She’s been quiet as of late, but filmed several movies last year, including How Do You Know, which earned her $32 million. 

#3 Cameron Diaz

Cameron Diaz also happened to make $32 million last year, which places her in a tie with Witherspoon.  In 2010, Diaz filmed Knight and Day and Shrek Forever After.

#4 Jennifer Aniston

Coming in at fourth place with $27 million is Jennifer Aniston.  This one might seem surprising to many people, simply because the movies she’s been in recently haven’t done well at the box office.  However, she’s still very popular, especially when it comes to romantic comedies.  She also has residuals coming in from the show Friends, which helped to catapult her toward the top of the list.

#5 Sarah Jessica Parker

The fifth highest paid actress is Sarah Jessica Parker with $25 million, whose film, Sex and the City 2, debuted last year.  Even though the film wasn’t well received, it made plenty of revenue.  Like Aniston, this actress is also making money from residuals of her own show.
