How To Look Radiant And Beautiful The Natural Way No Makeup Required

We all know That Woman, right? The one who breezes through life looking stunning and elegant without ever appearing to wear a shred of makeup. More annoyingly, she looks like she doesn’t even need it. While you reach for your concealer before you’re even fully out of bed each day, there are precious few women out there who, while they may not possess the most perfect features in the world, know how to make the most of them without using makeup. Here are a few insider tricks…

Kiss bye-bye to lipstick!

While a subtle touch can add color, wearing too much or the wrong shade can make you look years older than your age. If your lips are dry and pale from years of lipstick and makeup use, use a wet loofah next time you’re in the shower to gently exfoliate your lips. When you’re out of the shower, rub on some super-intensive hand moisturizer. Keep a small pot of moisturizer in your purse, and apply it every time your lips feel dry without lipstick or drying lip-balm. This will plump up your lips after a few days of use, and the act of rubbing in the moisturizer will give your lips natural color.

Addicted to concealer?

Instead, get into a gentle face-washing routine recommended by the experts, rather than trowling on a ton of makeup to try and hide your skin which is breaking out because of… makeup. Wash your face and cleanse/ tone night and morning, then use a dry towel to gently exfoliate every inch of your face. Move in small circles with a massaging action. This will improve your skin tone within a few weeks, and you may find you no longer need to wear makeup or concealer.

Blushing Beauty

Okay, admit it. You’re the girl who applies blusher in her dark apartment, and goes outside looking like Raggedy Ann? The reason we wear blusher is usually because we feel and look pale. The best ways to put color in your cheeks is to a) get moving! and b) get a good night’s sleep. Without sleep and exercise your circulation will get sluggish, making you look tired and pale. Even a brisk walk around the block at lunchtime can add a hint of color to your cheeks which will last all afternoon, as well as increasing your circulation, meaning that you burn more calories just by sitting at your desk. An instant pick-me-up in every way!

Circle of Trust

If you have dark circles under your eyes and are pathologically addicted to great daubs of mascara, there is hope for you. Scrub that mascara off right now, lie back on your sofa, and put two used, wet teabags or cucumber slices on your eye. Leave them on there for two minutes till they warm up, then swap out for new ones. Cotton-wool soaked in ice-cold water does the same trick. It’s a cliché but it works. The cool dampness works to constrict the tiny capillaries in your eyes, making them look less bloodshot, whilst tightening the skin under your eyes. No fancy eye-drops needed!

Finishing Touches
To finish off with, grab a clear mascara wand (we didn’t say you couldn’t cheat just a little) and comb it over your eyelashes and brows to tidy them and give them a more defined look. Bingo! You’re ready to go out without spending an hour on your makeup. Brilliant!
