Under eye circles can make you look tired and aged.  They are often associated with a lack of sleep, genetics and growing older.  By following a few simple tips, you can prevent the onset of dark eye areas. 

Sleep 8 Hours

Getting enough sleep is the easiest way to reduce eye circles.  Your body needs to rest in order to function properly.  Beauty sleep presents your body with the opportunity to repair itself and improve the appearance of your skin. 

Use Cucumbers

You can use cold, sliced cucumbers to reduce the appearance of dark eye circles.  By reducing excess fluid retention and resting for 10 to 15 minutes, you will feel refreshed and look better.  You can also dip cotton pads or cotton balls into freshly squeezed cucumber juice and apply directly to your face.

Drink Carrot Juice

Not only are carrots great for improving eyesight, but a daily intake of this vegetable can also decrease your eye circles.  You can either eat a small amount of carrots, or drink carrot juice.  Having a healthy diet provides you with more than one benefit.

Try Almond Oil or Rose Oil

Certain oils can help alleviate the appearance of eye circles with a gentle application to the face.  You can purchase almond oil or rose oil, and use it every night before you go to bed.  For best results, place a generous amount of the oil around your eye area.
