Suggestions for the Best Ways to Finance a Bachelor Party

Here’s the scenario: your best friend has asked you to be the best man in his wedding. You’re happy that he’s met the woman of his dreams, but you’re happier that you get to plan an amazing bachelor party! Or are you? Even the most financially well off of us may have a few butterflies at the thought of what sponsoring one wild night could do to their finances – with or without the trashed Limo. But planning a memorable bachelor party is about more than grabbing a bottle of Grey Goose and renting a limo. You have to a lot of things to plan, best man.

First of all, you should figure out who is invited to the bachelor party. Instead of mailing out RSVPs that cost money, send email invitations through an online service such as E-Vite once you decide where you’re going.

Next, you need to make sure all of the guys who are coming to the bachelor party get on with each other. You don’t want any arguments or fist-fights breaking out on your best friend’s special day! Arrange a pre-party get-together for all of the bachelor party attendees and make introductions at least a week beforehand just to test the water.

Great, you guys are going to Las Vegas three weeks before the wedding! That’s a very popular bachelor party spot, but make sure you discuss with everyone how much this is going to cost and make sure you get all the money upfront before hand. You don’t want to pay for six flights and a hotel suite then have to chase your suddenly-unavailable friends down for months afterwards. Just because you’re doing the bachelor party planning doesn’t mean you have to pay for it all. Make sure each guy gives you the cash for his flight, and his share of the hotel. The groom shouldn’t have to pay for anything during his bachelor party, so you all can split his costs.

Once all the preparations are in place and everything is paid for, it’s time party! Remember, this is the groom’s bachelor party and he shouldn’t have to spend a dime on it. Have fun!
