Is The PS3 The Most Powerful System On The Gaming Market?

The PS3, or Sony PlayStation 3, is the most powerful electronics gaming system currently on the market.  This is the third console made by the company.  One of the most exciting aspects of the electronics system is that it provides its own online gaming service in the PlayStation Network.  It also connects with the PlayStation Portable system and plays Blu-Ray discs.  Since 2006, the system has sold over 38 million copies… so the company isn’t doing too badly.

Graphically speaking, the electronics system is the best the industry has ever seen, boasting a 3.2 GHz Cell Broadband Engine with 1 PPE & 7 Spews as well as a 550 MHz NVIDIA/SCEI RSX Reality Synthesizer.  In plain English that means that PS3 provides the best gaming experience overall.

The Xbox 360 has a slight advantage in terms of games, but electronics developers are quickly jumping back on Sony’s bandwagon and developing numerous titles.  Whenever new mainstream games arrive on the electronics market, you can always expect a conversion over to PlayStation 3.  (Unless of course you’re wanting Mario Tennis).

What electronics games are coming up for PS3 in 2011?  Mainstream titles include Pirates of the Caribbean: Armada of the Damned, Test Drive Unlimited 2, Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 and WWE All Stars.  A few of the most anticipated PS3 exclusive electronics titles include Final Fantasy XIV and Little Big Planet: GOTY Edition.

It is predicted that PlayStation 3 will be the “gold standard” electronics system to beat for at least another two years.  If you or your children are looking for a new video game electronics system with the most popular titles for 2010 and 2011, you can’t go wrong with the PlayStation 3.
