How to Throw a St. Patrick’s Day Party to Remember

If you are going to throw a party on St. Patrick’s Day this year, you want to get started with your planning right away. The first thing that you must consider is the age of the people who are going to come to the party. If there will be children, you are going to want to avoid serving alcohol, or only serve it in small amounts and where the children won’t be near it.

When it comes to decorations for the party, think of the colors and the themes of St. Patrick’s Day. You will want to have plenty of green decorations (the color, not necessarily the environmental movement). You can make your own or visit a party supply store, which should have plenty of green streamers and banners, and well as some leprechauns.

Regarding the food for the party, you can serve some traditional Irish fare such as corned beef and cabbage if you like. However, the party you are throwing might do better with some finger foods. Sandwiches in spinach wraps can provide something green, and for dessert, you can make some shamrock shaped cookies or buy them from your grocery store.

For the beverages at your party, green beer is always a winner. However, you can also find many other simple cocktail recipes for green drinks. Punch is a nice choice. Remember, if there will be children at the party, label all of the drinks just to be safe.

A St. Patrick’s Day party is a great idea. Just make sure that you prepare in advance so you have everything that you need.
