Rejuvenate Your Skin With These Post Workout Tips

Exercising can produce an excess amount of sweat that can clog your pores and negatively affect your skin. In order to prevent unnecessary breakouts of heat rash, shaving rash and even acne, you will need to improve the hygiene habits after a workout.

Towel Your Body Down
While you may wait until you get home to take a full shower, you should use a hand towel to rub your skin down to remove any sweat. Some of the most important areas that you should be focusing on are your face, neck, chest and upper back. These areas are especially prone to acne and blemishes.

Take an Immediate Shower
Allowing dirt and sweat to sit on your skin for a prolonged period of time should be avoided. You can either take a shower at the gym or your home. Cleansing the skin thoroughly in the shower is also important. You should use a gentle soap and warm water.

Use a Moisturizer
Your skin will be stripped of essential oils after a shower, so you should rejuvenate it with a moisturizer. Many non-comodogenic products are available that do not clog your pores. Using lotions that will not end up causing breakouts is ideal, so stick with a light moisturizer rather than a heavy creamy one.

Drink Water
Plenty of water should be consumed after a workout in order to keep the skin properly hydrated. It also provides you with a youthful glow that allows you to look your best. It is recommended that you drink water before, during and after a workout.

Looking your best is easy when you follow the right post-workout routine.
