Is Lindsay Lohan’s Career Over?

Lindsay Lohan is the girl that Hollywood loves to spotlight. While everyone can agree that Lohan has gone too far with her party escapades, not everyone is capable of seeing the tragedy behind her life.

Lohan was brought into Hollywood while very young and was born into a turbulent family life. While Lindsay was growing up, Donata and Michael Lohan were separating, reuniting and going through a divorce. Lohan sought comfort in the adoration of millions of her fans. 

Lohan’s Hollywood fans eventually became obsessed with the scandal and drama of her life. Lohan sought comfort in drugs, alcohol, and a turbulent relationship with DJ Samantha Ronson.  She claimed for months on end that the Hollywood media was exaggerating her addictions.  Unfortunately, the world watched in July of 2010 as Lohan went to jail for breaking her probation.  Though she was released early and ordered into a drug treatment program, the damage had already been done.

Hollywood movie offers have dwindled down to Inferno, a film in which Lindsay portrays porn actress Linda Lovelace. What can you say about a girl who idolizes Marilyn Monroe and eagerly recreates the late star’s last photo shoot in New York magazine?

Lindsay Lohan is capable of great kindness and warmth—she even gave help to the British Red Cross in the aftermath of the Haiti earthquake. Perhaps a little tough love from the courts and support from her true Hollywood fan base will help steer her back to the top in Hollywood.
