Review: Are the Great Hair Day Products From Joan Rivers Worth Your Money?

Everyone has had a bad hair day at some point, but the Great Hair Day product line from Joan Rivers is supposed to help you put those days behind you, without having to visit the hairdressers on a regular basis.

Great Hair Day is a brush-in powder that covers the hair and makes it look fuller and thicker.  For those who have thin hair or even small bald spots, the product is meant to cover them, whilst building up your surrounding hair to hide its thinness.  Does Great Hair Day really do everything that it claims to do, however?

Most of the women who use Great Hair Day claim that it does indeed work to help them cover sparse patches, and that it really does give them thicker looking hair.  However, they do have a few good tips to pass on to new customers.  When you order Great Hair Day, you need to make sure that you buy your exact hair color so that it works properly.  Getting the wrong color or shade seems to be the main problem for most dissatisfied customers.

Another thing that many customers do not like about the Great Hair Day product is that you are bound to monthly shipments rather than a single big purchase.  Each month, the company will ship you more of the product, and many people do not like to be on a system such as this.  Fortunately, it is easy to call and cancel.  You can also buy through a third party and order just one at a time.  That way, you do not have to take part in the rather pressured "subscription tactics” they use.  This also lets you decide if you actually like it before you buy more.

The largest problem with Great Hair Day seems to be from the customer service department and not the actual product.  With this in mind, it is probably best if you find a beauty store that stocks the color so you can try it out first, and be sure of an exact match for your hair color.
