Is the iPhone or the Blackberry a Better Smartphone?

Whenever you are shopping for a new smartphone, you likely want to have the very best.  Knowing which one is right for you, however, can be difficult.  Today, we will compare the iPhone and the Blackberry so that you can decide for yourself.

The first thing to consider, of course, is whether or not you really need a smartphone.  Sure, the features seem awesome, but are you really going to be video chatting, downloading video on the go, listening to music on your phone, and opening large work documents?  If it is a necessity, then it certainly justifies the expense, but with costly data plans required, this is certainly the first thing to consider living without.

If you have decided that a smartphone is a necessity for you, then you will want to do some comparison shopping.  If you are looking for a great media experience, then the iPhone will be your hands down winner.  You can video chat, listen to music, watch videos, and more.  It really is an excellent smartphone for these things. Check out the Apple website for the latest deals – you can often get a cheaper iPhone if you sign up for a longer contract.  Beware of cancellation fees for canceling your plan early with AT and T – these can be quite a shock if you decide to change your phone provider a year into the contract.

If you want a smartphone for work, you might be better off with a Blackberry.  You can set auto text options so that a letter combination will automatically type out commonly used phrases, you can create voice memos, and you can sync outlook and open word and excel documents with ease.

The right smartphone for you depends on your specific needs.  The iPhone and Blackberry are both excellent phones, but knowing which one is best for you requires you to really consider what you are using it for.
