Will the Android Tablet Beat the iPad in Popularity?

Everyone knows Apple products, and everyone knows that the iPad is currently the most popular tablet device on the market and in the Apple stores.  However, the public also knows that the iPad is a pricey device, and not everyone is willing to pay that amount for a tablet, despite its popularity. 

With more competition on the horizon, many are wondering if the new Android tablet is going to be able to dethrone the competition.

For most people, the main reason that they are considering the Android rather than the iPad is the price.  Since Apple is not a company that usually lowers the price on their products as the products age, it seems that the lower initial cost of the Android tablets may play a huge role in the number of people owning them rather than an Apple product.  This is similar to why so many more people own PCs rather than Macs.  It all comes down to the cost.

The Android tablet is going to be able to reach a much larger percentage of the population by offering their product for several hundred dollars less than the competition.  They have a solid operating system, and even though the Android app store isn’t as robust as Apple’s, this could change.  As more people flock to Android, more apps will appear in the store, and this will result in even more sales.  Some might say it’ll begin to make Apple a little nervous.

The way things are looking, there is a very good chance that Android just might topple the current king of the tablets.  Watch this space!
