Learn to Make Turkey Black Bean Chili With Thanksgiving Leftovers

Making turkey black bean chili is a great way to get rid of those Thanksgiving leftovers.  Moreover, it’s easy with the right recipe.  Here is how to go about eliminating your leftover Thanksgiving turkey.

 

You will need:

 

Aa full pound of turkey meat; half an onion, chopped; a teaspoon of minced garlic; two tablespoons of olive oil; a can of red kidney beans, drained; a can of black beans, drained; half a package of frozen corn; two cans of diced tomatoes, one drained, and a teaspoon of chili powder. 

 

You will also need half a teaspoon of nutmeg; a package of dry ranch dressing; four tablespoons of sugar and two tablespoons of tomato paste.

 

In a large pot, add your olive oil and sauté your onions and garlic.  Add your Thanksgiving turkey to the mix and cook for about five minutes.  Add your other ingredients to the pot now, but keep the tomato paste out.  Bring the mixture to a boil.  Reduce the heat and simmer your Thanksgiving leftovers for about fifteen minutes under a lid.  Now, add your tomato paste and stir it well.

 

Turn off the stove and let the pot sit for about five minutes with a lid.  Your Thanksgiving turkey leftovers are now ready to eat in a tasty form that is both hearty and delicious.  There are few better ways to get rid of your Thanksgiving leftovers than with this chili recipe!  You can also store it for a few days and have an easy, prepared meal ready for you.
