Which Celeb Has the Worst Divorce Record?

When it comes to celebrity marriages, it seems like divorce is nearly inevitable.  Of course, famous people spend their lives under constant scrutiny by the media, and their every move is placed under a public microscope.  The slightest things are blown completely out of proportion, which must be hard on any marriage. 

While many of today’s celebs are no strangers to divorce, however, it is a classic movie actress who actually takes the award for the celebrity with the most divorce proceedings filed.

Lana Turner, a classic Hollywood actress best known for roles in such films as ‘The Postman Always Rings Twice’ and ‘Peyton Place’  has been divorced a record eight times.  She had a total of seven different husbands throughout her life, including famed bandleader Artie Shaw and millionaire Henry J. Topping Jr. 

She never had any qualms about the number of husbands, divorce proceedings, and lovers she had during her life, and even famously quipped, “My goal was to have one husband and seven children, but it turned out to be the other way around.”

While Lana Turner is the most divorced celebrity, she has some stiff competition.  Zsa Zsa Gabor and Elizabeth Taylor both divorced seven times, while Larry King and Jerry Lee Lewis both have six divorce records to their name. 

The divorce court is also well known to novelist Danielle Steel, who has five divorces, as well as Billy Bob Thornton, with five as well. 

In a world where marriage is already hard enough, it seems like divorce is even more likely among the rich and famous.
