Should You Give the Gift of a Dance Class?

Is there someone special in your life who has an insatiable drive to dance?  Perhaps you have a daughter, granddaughter, niece or a friend who has always wanted to dance, but never had the chance.  If so, you can give the gift of learning by buying that person a dance class or series of lessons this year.

The first step is to determine what sort of dance might be appealing to your gift recipient.  For instance, if you are buying dance classes for a couple, then Latin dancing, ballroom dancing, salsa dancing or swing dancing might be a good option.  If you are buying for a younger person, then ballet is a good choice.

Once you have defined the type of dance, it is time to locate a dance center for your gift.  There are dance centers everywhere – all it takes a glance at your local paper.  You can also go online to find a number of great locations in your area that offer dance classes you can give as a gift.  Make sure that the location is within easy reach of your recipient – too far away and they might not actually use the gift.

You might also consider some dance items to go along with your gift, such as ballet shoes, warm up clothes or a bag to carry their clothing and shoes to the dance studio.
