Celebrities Who Have Posed for Playboy

Playboy magazine is a guilty pleasure for people all around the world, and it has been for many years. The magazine offers a bevy of beautiful women, and its fair share of celebrities.  

The first celebrity to pose for Playboy was the feature of the very first issue. In December of 1953, Playboy magazine came onto the market. Its cover model- Marilyn Monroe.

Jayne Mansfield, star of screen and stage, was one of America’s first sex symbols. She was Playboy Playmate of the Month on several occasions, and the magazine helped propel her to new heights.

Of course, not all celebrities who have posed for Playboy have been without tragedy. Anna Nicole Smith posed for the magazine on multiple occasions before her eventual death from a drug overdose in a Florida hotel room in 2007.

Pamela Anderson is one of a select group of celebrities who was propelled into fame by posing for Playboy. After being named Playmate of the Month in February of 1990, numerous television and even movie roles opened up for Anderson, including a recurring role on Home Improvement and a starring role in Baywatch.

There is no doubt that the power of Playboy magazine is real. It has plucked many young women from obscurity and helped create some lasting celebrities. Whether you enjoy the magazine or not, there is no denying that it offers some true star power.
