San Francisco Summer Entertainment Choices | Summer San Francisco Entertainment

Summer entertainment in San Francisco is plentiful. Some of the popular spots might be busy during these months because they are such popular summer entertainment destinations, but they are still worth a visit.

Museums are great summer entertainment for those days when it rains. Some of the popular museums that you might want to visit include the Cable Car Museum, the Exploratorium, and the Cartoon Art Museum.

Prison isn’t anyone’s idea of summer entertainment unless, of course, you are visiting The Rock. Alcatraz is one of the most famous landmarks in San Francisco, and you can take the ferry over to the island to explore the old prison. You can also take some great photographs from the island.

You may not want to spend all of your summer days inside museums as long as it isn’t raining. Thankfully, you can find summer entertainment in San Francisco that will take you outside so you can enjoy the fresh air. The family will enjoy a walk along the Embarcadero and Fisherman’s Wharf, and you can spend time at Golden Gate Park gazing up at the Golden Gate Bridge. Just across the bridge, you will find some massive redwood trees and hiking trails.

Annual events and festivals are also very popular summer entertainment. Some of the most popular of the summer entertainment events include the Union Street Festival, the San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festival, and the North Beach Festival. Any one of these will make a great summer entertainment option.
