How To Remove Limescale Caused By Hard Water

Look at your shower and tub, or the sink in the bathroom and the sink in the kitchen. Many people have hard water, which has lime and calcium disolved in it. This causes hard water buildup, or ‘limescale.’ Limescale is white in color and it is gritty in texture. Simply trying to remove limescale with soap and water isn’t going to do the trick. You need to have something that works better, and something that works fast if you want to have a truly clean home.

Here are a few different methods that you can try to use to take care of limescale:

One of the first things that you will probably want to try are some of the over the counter cleaners available for limescale. Many of the cleaners are specifically for the removal of limescale, and they work quite well. One of the most popular products on the market is Lime-Away. CLR is another popular brand that many people use. You can buy these products through your local stores.

Of course, you can also use bleach, hydrogen peroxide, and even baking soda if you are searching for a method to remove limescale with items you already have at the house.

A cheap and easy way to clean limescale is to use white vinegar. It works wonders when it comes to getting rid of hard water stains. Combine the white vinegar with a rough cloth of even a toothbrush, and you will be able to remove limescale quickly.
