When you are a pet owner, you want to provide the very best for your furry friends.  You likely know which vet is best for your pet, what foods are healthiest, and even what treats your companion loves the most.  Have you ever taken the time to consider what type of feeding dish you use, however? Which is the best for your pet’s health?

Ideally, pets should be using stainless steel, glass or china pet dishes.  They cost more initially, but you will find that they do not need to be replaced.  You can use the same dish as long as you own your pet.  They are also incredibly easy to clean and do not have the same pores that plastic dishes have.  Unlike plastic dishes, they also cannot be easily turned over, ensuring that your pet will not turn his or her feeding area into a swamp of wet food and puddles. 

Stainless steel wins out above glass and china because it cannot be shattered, which may happen from time to time no matter how careful you are with the bowls.  Whether you drop the bowl by accident or your pet overturns it and smashes it, the result is the same – glass all over the floor that needs to be quickly cleaned up,  creating a hazard for you and your pets.
