The Top Selling Books of 2010

When you are looking for a great book, sales figures aren’t everything.  With that in mind, however, there is something to be said for a book that is among the most popular of the year.  Here are the 10 highest selling books of 2010.

‘Faces in Time: A Time Travel Thriller’ by Lewis E. Aleman is number one on the list, according to Amazon.com. 

Kathryn Stockett’s follow-up to The Secret Life of Bees entitled ‘The Help’ is number two, and this book was certainly a huge seller in 2010.

The next on the list is actually a series of books, as the ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ boxed set takes the third spot on the list.

Numbers four through six all belong to author Stieg Larsson.  ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’, ‘The Girl Who Played With Fire,’ and ‘The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest’ fill these spots.  The books are fantastic, and the movie based on the first is helping to increase the popularity of the season.

Number seven belongs to ‘The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks’ by Rebecca Skloot.  This popular book is well loved by people of all different backgrounds and is a captivating read.

‘The Three Weissmanns of Westport’ comes in at number eight.  Written by Cathleen Schine, this book is simply fantastic.

‘Worst Case’ by James Patterson takes the number nine spot, and is yet another in Patterson’s incredible mystery lineup.

Last is the ‘Lost Symbol’ by Dan Brown.  A follow-up to the mighty ‘Angels and Demons’ and ‘The DaVinci Code,’ this book was a huge seller in 2010.
