What Are the Top Family Ski Resorts in America?

A ski resort vacation can be costly and time consuming, so it is only worth going if the entire family enjoys it.  That means that everyone from mom and dad to teens to little brothers must be taken into account.  Not every ski resort is family friendly, but these selections are both kid and parent approved!

Winter Park, Colorado is another great ski resort, and you had to know Colorado would be on the top four.  Winter Park not only offers large and challenging terrains for parents, but also has safe and exciting facilities for children and beginners.  This ski resort also offers a special course for the disabled, teaching them how to ski. 

Colorado ski resort locations appear twice on the top four: the Steamboat, Colorado resort has earned high marks from skiing enthusiasts, particularly for its ambiance, which includes a cowboy downtown area and a higher mountain village.  This ski resort has a special “kids ski free” deal, which does include accommodation and mini-skiing gear.  The day care center offers skiing lessons along with a slope, and a Kiddie Coral area for younger children. 

Rounding out the list, we have the Okemo Ski Resort in Vermont, which has ski academies with experienced instructors for the youngsters, as well as cinemas, restaurants and videogame arcades for the evening hours.
