Which Camping Style Fits Your Personality?

Many people love the great outdoors and enjoy the thought of roughing it in the woods.  Many different types of camping are available, depending on how adventurous each person is, or the amount of comfort they prefer to have on their trip.

Wilderness Camping

The first type, wilderness camping, is the most rugged.  You simply head off into the woods with a backpack of water and food, and then fend for yourself.  You choose a spot in the woods that you like and set up your camp, building a new shelter each night out of trees and branches.  However, you have to be very careful of where you camp because you don’t want to be on private property.  Breaking down even small trees is then classified as vandalism of private property.  This is for those who like roughing it and are all about going without a plan.

Tent Camping

Tent camping is probably the most popular type of camping, and you will see families at campgrounds all around the nation.  Some of the campgrounds even have showering facilities and restrooms, even arcades and shops!  This is better for families with kids or teens who need an occasional break from ‘roughing it’ to clean up.

RV Camping

An alternative to tent camping is to go camping in an RV.  This type of camping provides you with all of the comforts of home.  You can find a number of different sites that offer RV parks so you can have electricity and water while you are camping.  If you like being pampered when you camp with all the comforts of home, this is the way to go.

Get your tent and the other gear that you need for your trip and head out today.  No matter which type of camping you prefer, you can be sure that you will have a good time and enjoy being out in the fresh air.
