How to Make Won Ton Soup

If you are craving a taste of Chinese cuisine, but simply don’t have a Chinese restaurant nearby, then making one of the more popular Chinese food dishes at home can be quite simple.  Won ton soup is one of the simplest options out there when you have the right recipe.

You will need:

A full 32 ounces of chicken broth, as well as 12 pork dumplings.  You need eight ounces of cocktail shrimp (cooked), five cups of washed spinach and two cups of white button mushrooms.

Steps:

First, you need to steam the dumplings.  Steam them for 15 minutes if they are thawed and 25 if they’re frozen.  You need to make sure that the internal temperature of each is 165 degrees.

Next, slice the mushrooms into thin slices for the won ton soup.  Add the chicken broth to a stockpot and bring it to a boil.  Once the broth for your soup is boiling, add the dumplings, the mushrooms and the shrimp.  Allow the mixture to return to a boil for a few minutes and then remove it from the heat.

Just before you serve your soup, you need to wash the spinach.  Serve the won ton soup hot from the stove and add as much (or as little) spinach as you care to.

You can refrigerate the leftovers, but it will not keep very well.
